Application Example

I want ...x.

For this example x is a see through marble with a gold nugget in the center of it.
Why choose that? Because it's neutral. There are no hidden attachments to it like there is with money and relationships.

Ok, so I have this "idea" of wanting a marble. I don't know where that idea came from but it did. It appeared out of nowhere. A wispy thought.

Now that thought is just a tiny little thought without much power to it. It needs a little jolt of electricity..., fire, and passion to it for the (kite) expansion stage.
Mull over that marble and purposefully work up a craving for that marble. You already had the spark (idea) for it, now you're going to expand that seed/idea. Remember it's just a feeling. You don't even have to visualize it yet (but you've probably already done it anyway). The feeling is the critical part of this phase. Without the "feeling", craving and desire it is just another wispy thought. A daydream.

At some point in yourself you choose to make this an important desire for YOU. At any point you can choose not to desire as well. Totally drop it. Which is fine. It's all good. You didn't fail. You are just choosing anew.
You could potentially go through hundreds of thoughts until you found one you really wanted to expand and make real. I'm sure you have a few handful of ideas already though.

One thing that is helping me through this process is remembering how I used to do this a child. I used to collect bottle tops as in beer and pop bottles. When I would find a new bottle top design I'd get really excited. As I mulled over my collection it would feel like I was rich. That "feeling" is what we are cultivating here.

Just a quick side note:

A few months after writing this I manifested that same marble without the gold nugget inside. It has a bubble inside instead. The stylist who cuts my hair gave it to me. She found it in her yard and wanted to give it to me. So if I add a little more "juice"..., desire to my idea then I should actually receive one with a gold nugget inside. Hmmm..., maybe I'll do it just for the fun of it.
